Actual supply request Reg

Main Post:

I'm trying to learn the actual regulation for creating an actual supply request. I've done a good bit a of reading but not real dice. Anyone got a quick answer or website, I'd really appreciate it.

Different Soldier Supplies

Main Post:

I have a feeling that soldier life in that game should be less expendable, hospitals are rarely used and “logi man will just bring more” mentality. Mammon rushes are a bit unrealistic in terms of real war. Soldiers like zergs throw themselves under bullets, with no regard for their lives.

I’m sure some of us had a moment where you spawn and think to yourself “Aright, this is my last life. If I die, I will log out for today. Those “lives” are the most exiting as you begin to be careful and seeing a grenade flying into your trench becomes “NONONONO!!!”, instead of “damn, 50 seconds wait”.

I do not propose an increase of SS price, that would be rude to the logi bros. Maybe SS will automatically generate in the furthest towns with a specific rate, so a faction will receive a limited amount of them in a specific timeframe. It also makes more sense as SS are made from bmats, which makes us robots xD

Then SS becomes more of a strategic recourse rather than a scroop or grind chore.

The SS generation rate may also depend on the number of active players in a specific faction, which also kind of denies alting.

English not my first language, feel free to correct me.

The majority of people do not think "the logi man will bring more", they think "whatever", and charge into battle with 2 medkits, 3 guns and 20 magazines of ammo only to die immediately and pull the exact same kit until supplies run out. As such, any increase in the value of basic kits will only drain fronts faster unless the issues of Cpl carrying an armory into battle is fixed.

I don't even pull kits anymore, I just loot bags and end up with enough stuff to kit out half a regiment.

Shirts crates should give 20 Soldier supplies

Main Post:

What have we learned from the last 3 days? Trenches cause a lot more death now that we don’t rely as much on AI defenses as we used to.

Shirts have been burning at a crazy rate.

Edit: lack of shirts should come from logi negligence or good partisan work. It shouldn’t come from excessive harshness of making and bringing a decent amount of shirts.

I'd like to see one war where all crates had 2x items, just to see how that affects logi and front.

Shirts/Soldier Supplies and how to use them (leave them at the base!)

Main Post:

I've noticed an annoying trend this and last war with a lot of new players. I'm glad to have new blood, but it seems many don't understand that you don't need to carry a shirt with you when you spawn. I've picked up dozens off the battle field lately.

I wonder if there's an in-game mechanic that could make this more clear for new players? It's an understandable mistake, but I think it could be addressed somehow. Maybe a more descriptive tool tip, maybe only able to pull shirts with trucks, etc. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately it seems that there are trolls on both sides encouraging this behavior among the other faction and their own people trying to get them to waste resources.

Tips for being a UN soldier

Main Post:

I’m about to start the peacekeeper mission “humanitarian supplies” mission where you need to dress up as a UN soldier, vest and helmet and kill 10 scavs. Any tips or tricks for this? I’m assuming I probably shouldn’t equip an expensive gun seeing that my helmet will be a nice beacon for other players to easily spot me and with that armor, don’t think I’ll survive the encounter.

Top Comment:

I did it on night time using a scoped mosin with a silencer. The hardest part of that quest is to find the scavs lol. Check tunnel, gas station, the pier, scav checkpoint, resort and road to customs.

I luckily did it on 1 run, somehow 3 scavs randomly spawned on road to customs which was enough to finish the quest.

Btw, avoid resort until the last 15min, otherwise you are gonna get shot by other players.

Should I spend my supplies on buying a veteran soldier or on upgrading my armour and weapons?

Main Post:

Vanilla XCOM2. Am around late mid-game in terms of game calendar (chryssalids have just started to appear).

I already have tier 3 assault rifles and sniper rifles. Right now I have just about enough supplies to upgrade my squad to tier 3 armour and one more tier 3 weapon upgrade, and a couple of utility items. But I've made some dumb mistakes this campaign and am sorely lacking a high-ranking ranger. There's a veteran ranger Major available for hire at Resistance HQ but I won't be able to upgrade my weapons or armour if I hire him. I also sorely need some utility items like a second mimic beacon since I lost a bunch of gear recently after some of my guys got killed.

I don't have enough supplies to do everything. Any tips on what I should prioritise?

EDIT: I ended up getting the Major, and selling some of my ADVENT corpses to upgrade to warden armour. Ok with my decision so far since I'm still having lots of trouble keeping lower-ranked rangers alive at this point in the game calendar.

I'd say armor and weapons. You can still train a ranger later.
